A bit about me

Hi there, I’m Helena!
I am an Internal Family Systems Practitioner and Intuitive Eating Counselor.

Upon finishing my Psychology studies, I embarked on a journey to further my education and discovered the transformative approach of Internal Family Systems. I was drawn to its non-judgmental approach and emphasis on empowering the individual. I work with individuals of varying needs and am passionate about providing support in areas such as self-esteem, anxiety, or shame.

One of my primary areas of focus is addressing food and body concerns. My own struggles with body image and nutrition have led me to apply the principles of Intuitive Eating in my personal life, and I have found them to be immensely beneficial. As a result, I have naturally incorporated this approach into my practice and pursued certification in Intuitive Eating to further help individuals and groups. I am passionate about guiding others towards a more positive, compassionate and sustainable relationship with food and their bodies.

My approach

Compassion, collaboration, and a non-pathologizing approach stand at the basis of my work. Looking through the Internal Family Systems lens, I recognize that each person is more than their problem, meaning I see anxiety, depression, body image issues, as one part of the whole us

By utilizing my knowledge from professional training courses, we will get to compassionately and calmly meet and help those parts of you that need your attention. Through working with your internal system, we will achieve your desired goals, and cultivate a mind that can truly be kind to itself.

In my free time

Welcome to my “Off The Clock” section, where I’d like to share a bit about my life outside my work with clients!

In my free time, I find relaxation in reading. 📚 Books have been my lifelong companions, and I cherish the opportunity to explore different worlds through literature, whether it’s fiction, non-fiction, or professional material. Reading enriches my life and provides valuable insights.

Nature is another essential part of my life. While I (very much!) appreciate the comforts of staying in with a good book, I also find rejuvenation in nature. 🌳 Whether it’s hiking through forests, taking leisurely strolls by the river, or simply gazing at the clouds, it provides a sense of calmness and clarity. When I can’t be in nature, I bring a bit of it inside by nurturing and tending to my plants. 🪴

Animals hold a special place in my heart. 🐾 Their presence in my life brings immeasurable joy and a strong sense of connection.

My love for cooking has grown since I found peace with food. I enjoy experimenting with flavors, using it as a way to unwind and have some fun, while also nourishing my body and my inner parts. 👩‍🍳

I hope this glimpse into my personal life allows you to connect with me and my parts a bit more. I’m here to help you discover your own sources of happiness and well-being. Feel free to explore more about my services and how I can support you in your journey toward healing and self-discovery. 🌟
